Google Android Smartwatch is become one of the most awaited smartwatch of Google. Google is reportedly working on its own smartwatches. The Tech giant showed the next version of Android Wear 2.0 which makes smartwatches more standalone devices. According to Android Police, Google’s smartwatches are code named Angelfish and Swordfish and will come with Google Assistant built-in.

The leaked images representing Google’s next generation smartwatches look identical to LG’s Watch Urbane and Huawei’s Honor Band Z1. The Angelfish seems to be a larger watch while Swordfish seems to be a clean take on Android smartwatches.

Both smartwatches feature a round watch face. The Android Police reports that Angelfish will be a standalone smartwatch with LTE connectivity while Swordfish will be a tethered device.

The Android Police reports Google’s very own smartwatches could debut after the launch of 2016 Nexus devices. Smartwatches are yet to become mainstream like smartphones and Google’s OEM partners haven’t really been successful with the product.

Google currently works with an OEM partner to launch its own Nexus range of smartphones. Google’s Nexus range have been showcase devices for next version of Android and run stock version of Android.

Google which still holds a major share in mobile devices would like to grab the market post Apple’s success with its first smartwatch.
